PITTSBURGH, PA – SHzoom Technologies, Inc. (“SHzoom”), a trailblazer in accident management solutions, has clinched a pivotal SBIR Phase I contract from AFWERX. The contract, administered by the Department of the Air Force (DAF), will evaluate the implementation feasibility of SHzoom’s patented accident management system across various vehicle types, including traditional, electric, and autonomous vehicles within the DAF fleet.

The announcement comes on the heels of SHzoom’s recent recognition as a Finalist at the Defense Innovation Challenge, where the company’s Founder and CEO, Ingrid Cook Moravitz, delivered an impromptu and impassioned speech at the TechConnect conference in National Harbor.

Ingrid Cook Moravitz’s unexpected address was triggered by an encounter with Smart Cities Executive Director, Richard Erb, who prompted her to share the journey leading to this moment. Moravitz vividly recounted the pivotal day of November 29th, where she received groundbreaking news: a pre-notification of the SBIR award and a notice of allowance for another patent.

“This selection was only possible due to the overwhelming support from key organizations like the National Association of Fleet Administrators (“NAFA”), the Pittsburgh Technology Council, Carnegie Mellon University, and TechConnect; and key figures like MSgt Cesar Hernandez, Jennifer Olzinger, and Ross Roley,” emphasized Moravitz.

Moravitz’s narrative highlighted the role of chance encounters at National Association of Fleet Administrator conferences and TechConnect events, giving credit to influential figures such as MSgt Cesar Hernandez, USAF Vehicle Management Superintendent, Jennifer Olzinger, Chief of Procurement for the City of Pittsburgh, and Ross Roley, Energy and Cyber Innovation Lead at Battelle.

Her story resonates with hope and belief in the greater good, encapsulated in her powerful words, “There is real power in the unseen.” This sentiment captures the essence of SHzoom’s journey, celebrating both tangible achievements and intangible forces at play.
