Rebecca Musielak, Designer, Builder and President/Owner, was recently selected as Top President/Owner of the Year for 2024 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the design/build industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
With more than two decades of experience in the industry, Ms. Musielak has certainly proven herself as an expert in her field. As a dynamic, results driven leader, Rebecca is the award-winning president of Nested. Design+Build in Denver, Colorado, where she and her team have provided complete elite, turnkey design process and construction service since 2016. Taking personal pride in helping meet clients’ needs within their own home spaces, or their nests, is why her company’s name leads with the word “Nested.”
Ms. Musielak was recently prominently featured in General Contractors Magazine and Colorado Builder Magazine, along with her firm being named the Top Colorado Builder by Architectural Digest as well as receiving regional industry accolades as the Best Home Remodelers in Denver, the Best Bathroom Remodeling Contractors, and the Best Home Builders.
Ms. Musielak’s areas of expertise include but are not limited to strategic planning, business development, sustainable design, construction, construction management, space planning, interior design, interior architecture, customer service, management, marketing, and leadership.
Before embarking on her career path, Ms. Musielak graduated from Penn State University in 1997 with a Bachelors in English and French. It was soon after when she started working in her current industry, which led her to her obtaining her general contracting license in 2016, where she became a powerful woman in a male dominated industry.
Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Musielak has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her accomplishments. This year she will be considered for the Empowered Woman Award and to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. She will be honored at IAOTP’s annual awards gala at the Nashville Opry Resort next December for her selection as Top President/Owner of the Year.
In addition to her successful career, Ms. Musielak was praised in Home Builders Association Magazine for her charity and volunteer work, which includes being a board member for Colorado Youth for a Change and supporting the Colorado Thought Leader’s Forum: THRIVE, Safe Harbor Lab Rescue, The Lion Project, the Denver Foster Care Program, and other causes. Rebecca also emphasizes the importance of working towards balance in her life. As a mom of two active children, she is regularly redefining priorities and “stopping to smell the roses,” which has allowed her to enjoy life’s precious moments more clearly and relish her time with friends, family and clients.

Looking back, Rebecca attributes her success to her perseverance, work ethic, and the mentors she has had along the way including her mother, who raised her and her sister as a single mom. When not working, she enjoys traveling, hiking, riding ATVs and skiing as well as spending time with her family and friends. In the future, she hopes to inspire, mentor and influence other women getting into the field.
